Beginning with BB King biography, he was born on September 16, 1925 near Indianola, Mississippi.

His real name was Riley B. King. When he was young he worked as a sharecropper on a cotton field and began to play the guitar at sixteen years old.

In 1949, he worked as a disk jockey in a local radio station.

In 1952, he put out his first big song, "You Know I Love You".

In 1956, he released the song, "Sweet Little Angel".

In 1958, he released the song, "Please Accept My Love".

In 1960, he released the song, "Sweet Sixteen".

The songs of B.B.King in the fifties were mostly played around the Mississippi and Louisiane areas.

Continuing with BB King biography, in 1962, he worked for ABC Paramount Records.

In 1968, he played at the Newport Folk Festival

In 1969, when the Rolling Stones went on tour in the United States Eighteen of the Concerts for them were opened by BB KIng.

In 1970, he had a smash hit with the song, "The Thrill Is Gone" and made appearences on the then popular Ed Sullivan show.

Continuing with BB King biography, in 1973 he recorded, "I Like To Love You" and "To Know You Is To Love You".

In 1981, he recorded the single, "There Must Be a Better World Somewhere".

In 1985, he released the song, "Into The Night".

In 1992, he released the song, "The Blues Come Over Me".

In 1999, he released the hit song, "Let The Good Times Roll".

In 2000, he released in collaboration with Eric Clapton the album, "Riding With The King".

On September 16, 2007 he celebrated his Birthday at the age of 82.

He helped pioneer the blues music movement with hits like, "To Know You Is To Love You", "I Like To Live The Love" and Love Me Tender, a song sung by Elvis Presley

On December 15, 2006 he was awarded The Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George W. Bush.

On May 27, 2007 he was awarded an honorary doctorate in music by Brown University
