John Mellencamp biography, he is a great American rock singer.

Beginning with John Mellencamp biography, the rock singer was born in Seymour Indiana October 7, 1951.

He began singing in the band, "Crepe Soul" at the age of fourteen years old. He played in bars in southern Indiana in the late sixties.

In 1982, he released the album titled, "American Fool" with hit songs such as "Jack and Diane", "Hurts So Good" and "Hand To Hold On To".

In 1987, he released the album titled The Lonesome Jubilee with hits such as "Cherry Bomb", "Paper in Fire" and "Check it Out".

In 1991, he released the album, "Whenever We Wanted" with hits like, "Again Tonight", "Get A Leg Up" and "Love and Happiness".

He married Elaine Irwin on September 5, 1992. He has five children.
