Beginning with June Carter Cash biography, she was a musician, actress, author and also a member of the Carter Family whom were very well known for their country music.

She was born in June 23, 1929 to the family known as one of the first families of country music.

Her father was named Ezra Carter, he did a lot of motorcyling with June, Her father had an accident riding with her on his motorcycle.

June began her career singing and playing autoharp with her family and her two sisters Helene and Anita.

Continuing with June Carter Cash biography, she began singing on radio shows in 1939.

She took acting classes and was in the same school with Robert Duval and James Dean.

She got married to country singer, Carl Smith in 1952 and was divorced in 1956 and had a daughter with him. Her daughter's name was Carlene Carter.

She later got married to Rip Nix and had another daughter named Rosie Nix with him.

She joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1950, and that helped her to become very popular.

She met Johnny Cash at the Grand Ole Opry Show in the late fifties. They got married in March of 1968.

Together they put out the hit "Jackson", and June wrote "Ring Of Fire", the song that Johnny sang and made famous,

The song was based on their marriage together, which was not easy with Johnny Cash as he battled a drug addition, but she helped him make it through the tough times.

When she wrote the song, Ring of Fire, she said, I felt like I had fallen in to a pit of fire and I was literally burning alive.

Continuing with June Carter Cash biography, together they won two Granny Awards for best country duo, one award was for, "If I were a Carpenter" and the other for the song "Jackson".

She released two solo albums titled, "Appalachian Pride" in 1975 and the album, "Press On" in 1999.

She died May 15, 2003 at the age of 73 of complications from heart surgery.
Johnny Cash attended the service. He was 71 years old and was in a wheel chair at the service.

She was the last surviving daughter of Maybelle Carter and the wife of Johnny Cash.

June Carter will be sadly missed by all her fans, friends and family.
