Her first big success was in 1964 with the hit, "As Tears Go By". She was one of the women of swinging London, when she meet Mick Jagger through Andrew Loog Oldham. Her breakup with Mick Jagger was very hard for her. Her singing style was influenced by Joan Baez who went to London to met Marianne in 1965, at about the same time as Bob Dylan. Near the end of the seventies, she became very popular. She recorded with Stevie Winwood, "Broken English" one of the most remarkable albums of the late seventies with songs like, "Working Class Hero" a song by John Lennon and "The Ballad Of Lucy Jordan". Continuing with Marianne Faithfull biography, she was an actrice as well as a comedian and she acted in, "Made In USA" and played in, "La Mouette" by Tchekhov, It was in music she made a big hit with, "A Secret Life". In 2002, she released the CD titled "Kissing Time" with Beck and Billy Corgan. Everybody who knew her at one moment or another were in love with her aristocrate face and her long blond flowing hair. She had a book written about her biography, by David Dalton called, "Faithfull". She has a new CD titled, "Before the Poison" which was released in January of 2005.
