In Toby Keith biography, he was born in Clinton, Oklahoma on July 8, 1961. He received his first guitar at the age of eight. He worked on the rigs for the oil companies around Oklahoma. When he was twenty three years old, he began to work in bars around Oklahoma and the State of Texas. Continuing with Toby Keith biography, In 1993, he released his first record with Mercury Records titled, "Should've Been A Cowboy" and "He Ain't Worth Missing". Continuing with Toby Keith biography, in March of 2001, his father was killed in a car accident which was very hard on Toby Keith. In 2001, his album "Blue Moon" was certified platinum for selling more than one million copies. In 2002, he released the album titled, "Unleashed" and sang with
Willie Nelson
for Farm Aid in Pittsburg.
In August of 2005, Toby Keith joined
Merle Haggard
for the taping of the CMT Outlaws concert special at the Grand Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles, which began in November, 2005. Continuing with Toby Keith biography, he has sold over twenty million albums since 1993. He has ten platinum album awards the last one being, Honkytonk University. In 2006, he released the album titled, "White Trash With Money".
